This project investigated the detection and identification of potential biological warfare agents in both a benign laboratory environment and a simulated subway situation, using an integrated approach involving proprietary laser technology. The objective of this project was to demonstrate that biological agents can be quickly detected and characterized in a transit environment. This would have the potential to improve security in subway systems and give an early warning to transit officials so that they could take appropriate actions quickly and effectively.  View Report
